For MSU Faculty and Staff

Capacity Building and Training

CERC can assist internal MSU units to develop their own capacity for evaluation and assessment and provide them with the tools to examine the effectiveness of their programs.

"Knowledge Exchange" and Support

The Community Evaluation and Research Center (CERC) is building a network of faculty and researchers doing evaluation at MSU or interested in community-based research. CERC is developing the infrastructure between the University and communities to facilitate engagement. We will be conducting a needs assessment to determine the types of resources and supports that researchers need to more effectively engage with communities for program evaluation.

Facilitation

CERC is developing a network of community partnerships that can be settings for community-based research. A research team typically includes a multidisciplinary group of researchers, members of community organization, and CERC evaluators. CERC facilitates community-based research and evaluation by bringing community groups together with researchers to work on mutually agreed upon social concerns.
