What's New at CERC?
Evaluation of the Child Care Expulsion Prevention Initiative
CERC is partnering with Dr. John Carlson (PI) from the School Psychology program and Dr. Holly Brophy-Herb from Family and Child Ecology to conduct the state evaluation of the Child Care Expulsion Prevention initiative (Michigan Department of Community Health). This program aims to provide support to child care providers and families in order to retain children with challenging behavior in daycare and preschool.
Evaluation of the Creating Entrepreneurial Community Initiative
CERC is evaluating the Creating Entrepreneurial Community initiative. This program provides intensive training and coaching to community teams to facilitate their efforts to develop entrepreneurship and improve economic vitality in their communities. Nine community teams from throughout Michigan participated in the Energizing Entrepreneurs training program conducted by the RUPRI Center for Rural Entrepreneurship and are beginning to conduct community capacity assessments. We look forward to working with all the community partners!
